2 TYPES OF MINDFULNESS: TRADITIONAL or SECULAR

 Among our goals at STOP LOOK LISTEN & ACT is to introduce and, in some cases reintroduce, the traditional form of MINDFULNESS found in the ancient teachings of Buddhism. Empirical and experiential evidence strongly suggests that traditional MINDFULNESS is more effective in the lives of practioners than the much more  popular Western practice identified here as Secular MINDFULNESS.  

21st CENTURY MINDFULNESS

You hear terms like “life changing”  or “It’s a whole new way of living.”  Whatever you’ve heard, it’s fair to say that MINDFULNESS has become a “New Wave” in many areas of our lives. Countless formal studies and first-person reports have led to its broader acceptance by many, This popularity is driven by leaders and practitioners in such diverse areas as:
