Let me ask a  question;. Ever have one of thh ose days? Nothing goes right, you’re anxious, depressed, your work assignment isn’t done. Maybe you need food, but there’s no money, your relationships suck, or even worse you’re riddled with pain and nothing helps. Inside yourself  a battle is being waged. The combatants are your external world and your internal world, between what you want and what you need.  In these ongoing conflicts it is all too easy to give in to the pressures of your external world as they push and pull you in every direction.  

It is in these times of conflict that the reality of human suffering is experienced.  It is also during these times that the practiced use of Acceptance, and Mindfulness derived from BUDDHISM can show you a path that frees you from the conflict and empowers you to see the best proactive course to take.

THE BOX PRINCIPLE

If you were to take all the things in the external world that keep you up at night, that frustrate you, that keep you from fully enjoying life, that cause you pain and suffering, things you really have no control over and constructed a box out of them it might look like the one below on the left.

Believing that something is wrong with us is a deep and tenacious {form of} suffering, For many of us, feelings of deficiency are right around the corner. It doesn’t take much – just hearing of someone else’s accomplishments, being criticized, getting into an argument, making a mistake at work - to make us feel that we are not okay. Beginning to understand how our lives have become ensnared in this trance of unworthiness is our first step toward reconnecting with who we really are and what it means to live fully.
